Description of Position

Community Counseling of Bristol County is seeking a full-time Program Director for Program of Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) in the Taunton service area. The Program Director operates PACT, a self-contained clinical team which is responsible for directly providing treatment, rehabilitation, and support services to identified clients with severe and persistent mental illnesses. The Program Director supervises and evaluates the multidisciplinary team in conjunction with appropriate psychiatric support to ensure service excellence and courteous, helpful, and respectful services to program clients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership to the PACT team alongside the team psychiatrist, this includes assessment, treatment planning, and general healthcare
  • Manage daily clinical operations, including direct supervision of team members, coordinating schedules, and leading team meetings
  • Oversee client admission and assessment processes
  • Use management tools to align the team's philosophy and goals with the PACT model
  • Staff recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and performance planning
  • Ensure quality and accuracy of medical record documentation
  • Provide crisis intervention services on-call and back up as per the team’s policy
  • Engage and motivate team clients to meet their treatment goals
  • Supervise the PACT team to maintain required productivity standards
  • Ensure timely completion of required documentation in line with agency guidelines

Requirements

A Masters degree in social work, psychiatric rehabilitation or counseling with license or eligible is required along with 5 years behavioral healthcare experience. A combination of exceptional clinical and organizational skills is a must. Supervisory and program management experience is desired, particularly experience in a community based program. The ideal candidate will have a clear understanding of the characteristics and problems of adults with severe and persistent mental illness, and be knowledgeable about the PACT model.
