About Us

Community Counseling of Bristol County (CCBC) is a mission-driven Community Mental Health Center providing outpatient, crisis, and community-based behavioral health services in southeastern Massachusetts.

The Role

The CFO is a key member of the executive team, responsible for financial leadership, operational oversight, and long-term sustainability. This role oversees finance, payroll, insurance, audits, IT systems, and credentialing in a complex, multi-service healthcare environment.

Key Reponsibilities
  • Lead financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and Board reporting
  • Oversee accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls
  • Direct payroll operations in compliance with Massachusetts wage laws
  • Manage insurance programs (liability, cyber, workers’ comp) and risk strategy
  • Lead audits, Form 990, and regulatory compliance (including MassHealth)
  • Oversee revenue cycle: billing, collections, and reimbursement optimization
  • Provide oversight of EHR, financial systems, and data security (HIPAA compliant)
  • Ensure efficient provider credentialing and payer enrollment
  • Supervise finance and administrative staff; collaborate across departments

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 7 – 10+ years of senior financial leadership experience
  • Nonprofit experience; healthcare/behavioral health strongly preferred

Preferred:

  • CPA or MBA
  • Experience with Medicaid (MassHealth) and behavioral health funding
  • Familiarity with Community Mental Health Center system of care
