Description of Position
Community Counseling of Bristol County's Mobile Crisis Intervention (MCI) is looking for full-time master’s level clinicians with LMHC, LMFT, or LICSW licenses, to join us in providing emergent and urgent mental health care to persons suffering from behavioral health, and/or substance abuse crisis. As part of our multidisciplinary team of clinicians, psychiatric staff, and nurses, clinicians use a range of best clinical practices and treatment modalities to stabilize clients in the community to prevent hospitalization. Clinicians conduct assessments of adults and youth, determine level of care, and support our goal of treating crisis patients in the least restrictive environment possible. This role offers flexible hours with some weekend commitment.

Job responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of youth and adults and provide a diagnosis foundation consistent with the DSM V and ICD-10 along specific recommendations
- Determine level of care based upon medical necessity criteria
- Navigate levels of care and insurance coverage to assist clients in gaining access to care
- Provide brief, solution-focused interventions, and reassess current level of need with clients waiting for higher level of care
- Assist with safety planning and post crisis evaluation over a seven-day intervention period and outside the evaluation and intervention periods
- Consult with supervisor and/or consulting psychiatrist about level of risk, disposition planning, and transfer to proper resources
- Attend community-based meetings in conjunction with youth, their families, and providers to aid with advocacy and addressing safety concerns
- Complete collateral contacts with an individual's providers
- Participate in regularly scheduled clinical supervision, staff meetings, staff development, and training curriculum
Requirements
- Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling Psychology, or closely related discipline
- Licensed LMHC, LCSW, or LICSW clinician, or on-track to obtain licensure
- Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Comfortable in a fast-paced work environment handling clients in crisis
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
- A year of experience working with youth and their families in a clinical role within a mobile delivery system
