Description of Position

We are currently seeking a clinician to provide therapy to children from birth to 21 years, and families in their homes. You will help children struggling with their mental health, and support families to stay together in the home as you teach them the skills needed to navigate crisis. As a member of the IHT (In-Home Therapy) team, you will develop treatment plans and utilize innovative, trauma-informed therapeutic techniques, interventions, and behavior modifications to address our clients' needs. IHT is part of CBHI (Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative) services.

  • Provide parenting sessions, one-on-one sessions for clients and support counselors, and phone consultations to support building strengths for client and family unit
  • Complete quarterly clinical assessments, CRAFFT screenings for youth 12+, and develop goals and treatment plans in partnership with clients
  • Develop safety plans and provide crisis management to support clients and families in maintaining their safety during and after crisis
  • Collaborate with mental health providers, educational services, state agencies, social supports and natural supports to help the client and family achieve goals set in treatment plan
  • Participate actively in weekly supervision, clinical team meetings, and mandated training
  • Attend meetings about clients’ behavioral treatment needs in community settings
  • Assist in linking and referring families to appropriate services along the continuum of care

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in the Mental Health field, including counseling, psychology, family therapy, and social work, or related field
  • One year of experience working with children and families; volunteer and internship experience will be considered
  • Current driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Good organizational skills, as well as effective verbal, written and computer skills
  • Proficiency with computers including ability to use or learn to use an electronic health record system, audio-visual communication technology (Zoom), and use of Microsoft Office suite for emails, internal document access, and organization.
