Description of Position

We're seeking a licensed clinician to join our team and provide clinical leadership to our clinicians providing mental health services to children and families in schools and outpatient settings in the New Bedford and Taunton areas. You will provide crisis intervention and ongoing supervision to clinicians to manage client risk and safety issues, train and orient new clinicians, and work with the Vice-President of Children’s Outpatient services on program development. In addition to supervising clinicians, you will carry a small caseload of clients. You have the flexibility to create a customized schedule and see clients in-person and via telehealth.

This role will receive training in evidence-based practice models including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational interviewing, Attachment, Regulation, and Competency (ARC), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Crisis/Suicide Prevention.

Job responsibilities will include:

  • Weekly supervision of clinical staff providing guidance, support, crisis intervention, and ensuring that professional standards and policies are followed
  • Collaborate with team members in developing treatment plans and goals
  • Ensure clinicians efficiently and timely complete all necessary assessments, treatment plans, and follow guidelines to support youth and families in achieving their goals/plans
  • Address clinician performance issues and work with Human Resources to develop performance improvement plans
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide individual and small group supervision to both licensed and unlicensed clinical staff
  • Offer direct clinical services to clients involving in-home individual, couple, and family therapy, behavior management, and crisis intervention
  • Manage a caseload providing individual and family psychotherapy in-person and using telehealth

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field
  • Independently licensed (LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT) in Massachusetts
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience providing therapy post licensure
  • Excellent organizational skills as well as effective verbal, and written skills
  • Computer and technical skills, specifically Microsoft Office programs (Outlook and OneDrive), electronic health records (EHR), and video conference technology (i.e., doxy, Zoom)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience/familiarity with trauma work and Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED) with children, adolescents and families
