Description of Position
Seeking an individual with lived experience in recovery to lead the Dr. Robert Smith House in Taunton, MA. The position includes oversight of the house which serves 12 men in early recovery, by providing supportive case management as well as overall management and maintenance of the house. Position requires a clean driving record, a car to transport residents, experience developing client files and spreadsheets, and the ability to develop resources in the community for residents and to ensure referrals to the program.
Responsibilities
Responsible for providing outreach/case management services to program clients and program service delivery including:
- Provide a range of rehabilitation services;
- Provide Recovery Coach Support to residents and also coordinate with other Peer Specialist/ Recovery Coaches that are of support to residents during transition period;
- Provide a range of housing development services;
- Ensure the enactment of each client's Individual Action Plan (IAP), including completion of all required paperwork to verify homelessness and HMIS data input;
- Participate in daily organization meetings, IAP review meetings, and supervision and training;
- Complete documentation in a timely fashion, including incident reporting;
- Other duties as defined by agency and/or program leadership.
Requirements
Education/Training
This position request a bachelor's degree or experience or specific skills related to the delivery of recovery, support, or housing service elements. Must have familiarity with recovery and rehabilitation principles as well as Housing First and Mediation Assisted Treatment (MAT).
Experience
Must have at least two years of human services related experience, with at least one year with adults who have a history of homelessness, mental illness/and or substance use disorders. Must possess good organization skills as well as effective written, verbal and computer skills.
Physical Requirements
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include vision, color vision, and ability to focus. The employee is expected to drive a personal vehicle and maintain proper vehicle insurance. The noise level in the office/facility is usually quiet, but can be loud due to client participation and groups. The work environment is primarily within an indoor facility with occasional exposure to outdoor weather when traveling to outreach or meeting sites, or when participating in special program activities.
Other Requirements
Knowledge of Core-Competencies as identified by the employee's assigned department. Must have a valid driver's license in the state of residence and submit a copy of satisfactory record of driving from the state of residence of registry of motor vehicles, as determined by the department vice president. Must complete MA and ADP Criminal Offense Record Information (CORI) process.
