to develop and deliver compassionate, responsible culturally competent and quality mental health and substance abuse services to meet the prevention, education, treatment, rehabilitation and recovery needs of those in our community.
Positive growth has proven to be difficult for many organizations as a result of the greatest financial crisis in our lifetime, followed by a slow if not invisible recovery. For those that rely on government for a major part of our funding, government at all levels continues to reduce services and lay off employees. Mental health services in particular have been hit hard by cuts that affect our most vulnerable clients. It is this uncertain fiscal climate that continues to pose the greatest challenges for CCBC and other providers of mental health and substance abuse services.
Nonetheless, in the face of this uncertain climate, CCBC has had a successful year on many levels. CCBC has continued with expansion of office sites in Plymouth and Taunton, and the addition of a site in New Bedford. We have added staff at nearly all locations, added highly qualified and experienced psychiatrists to our medical staff, enhanced our training programs, and upgraded our technology to produce improvement in client outcomes and satisfaction.
