Crisis Counselors – 40 hour position (3 available)

The Crisis Counselors will report directly to the Team Leader and receive weekly supervision. Additional support will be availble through Community Counseling of Bristol County's administrator-on-call, which is a 24 hour emergency phone support. Upon their initial hire the Crisis Counselors will complete a mandatory core training around crisis intervention services. He or she will perform community-based crisis counseling and outreach services, often as a part of a two-person team. He or she will work to outreach to individuals, families, groups, businesses, local government and other organizations.

The Crisis Counselor will work to establish short term stress management and counseling with disaster survivors requiring interventions, including emotional support, building/reinforcing coping skills and referral to other disaster recovery, mental health, substance, VOAD, and Long Term Recovery organizations.
