CBFS Peer Specialist Coordinator


Accountability

Reports directly to the Assistant Director

Education / Training

This position requires Certification as Peer Specialist (CPS) and at least one year working in the role of a CPS; Degree in human services preferred.

Experience Requirements

Should have some combination of the following: Nonprofit organizations, personnel management, policy design and implementation; Also, must have lived experience as a person in recovery with at least two years of sustained recovery time; experience working with diverse populations. Employed experience in mental health field preferred; Must possess good organizational skills, effective written, verbal and computer skills.

Responsibilities

In concert with the Recovery Partnership Teams (RPT), responsible for the general daily care of program clients and primary program service delivery as outlined in the Job Description Cover Page, including:
  1. Provide range of rehabilitation services;
  2. Provide range of support services;
  3. Provide range of supervision services;
  4. Provide range of housing services;
  5. Provide support for the successful enactment of each clients Individual Action Plan (IAP);
  6. Assist with recruitment of Peer Specialists;
  7. Organize and supervise the responsibilities of the Peer Specialists;
  8. Provide ongoing individual and group support to Peer Specialists;
  9. Work with RPT Team Leaders to integrate Peer Specialist role on RPTs;
  10. Evaluate Peer Specialists no less than annually;
  11. Serve as liaison to Recovery Learning Community (RLC);
  12. Complete documentation in a timely fashion, including incident reporting;
  13. Other duties as defined by agency and/or program leadership
